  • Clay Day is a class where students get their hands dirty and make clay masterpieces! We will be sculpting clay with coil, pinch, and slab techniques. Each student will complete one stoneware project and glaze it with a glossy finish. We will also be exploring oven bake clay (polymer), and air dry clay (model magic).

  • Drums ALIVE is coming ALIVE at Peebles! Do you like to drum on a big ball with your favorite dance moves and music? Do you enjoy being active? Join us in sharing your special Drums ALIVE movements along with great songs. You will have the opportunity to create, share, and perform your OWN Drums ALIVE routine with this class. Start thinking of your favorite songs, moves, and ideas to share with your friends and teachers. Let your Drums ALIVE imagination run wild!!

  • Gaga, Games, Star Wars, Kickball, Playground, Bikes and whatever else you would like to plan! Let’s go!! Let’s get ready for some OUTDOOR FUN!!
    Do you like Gaga? Do you just love to play on our playground? You can play what you like outside with PES staff members – Gaga games, Kickball, football, basketball, or just play on the playground. Who about an obstacle course on the playground? Come play with us – promise to be a good time!! Weather permitting we can ride our school bikes too. We will be playing inside if the weather doesn’t cooperate – let’s hope for some decent weather. Activities will be split to accommodate each grade level – K and 1/ 2-5 if appropriate to allow for some good fair fun! This class will be very flexible due to weather – and we have a plan to have this class both inside and outside with creative games. COME PLAY WITH US!!!!

  • Class Description: Let’s have some fun and lots of laughs while we sing ourselves silly! Mrs. Craska will direct and accompany us on the piano. We will revisit old favorites, learn some newer songs and perhaps create a few silly songs of our own. Guaranteed feel-good fun!

  • Our youngest scientists will have the opportunity to have hands-on, and sometimes messy, fun as we explore some of the science in the world around us! Science experiments will combine exciting activities with important STEM skills that encourage critical thinking and creativity (All while kids are playing, learning, and having fun!). Each class will begin with a new science experiment, incorporate some teamwork STEM challenges in the middle, and end with some slime time science fun (We will be making slime, slime bombs, Oobleck, and more!). So, please, leave your best clothes home for the day and join us for some slime time science!
    This class will meet in (location): Tuesdays in Room 19 & the Courtyard
  • Join us as we explore the magical world of Harry Potter! Different Hogwarts-themed science classes will be taught, including: dissecting owl pellets in Care of Magical Creatures, all things gooey chemistry in Potions class, a magic wand making workshop, and various other subjects. Enjoy a magical snack or two like Butterbeer from the Leaky Cauldron. Come enjoy your love of all things Harry Potter as we do science experiments, create cool crafts, and play some hp-themed games. Mischief managed, muggles!

  • Squishies, Lego, Minecraft, Chess, Coding, Pokemon, Shopkins, Ipads, Spheros, Computer lab– All of the above and Let’s have fun!!!

    Join Mrs. Bjalobok and Mrs. Stand for an exciting afternoon of fun and play! Challenge friends to a RUBIX CUBE off or POKEMON game, design a game with CODING and MINECRAFT, checkmate your friend while playing CHESS, and build LEGOS with friends! Play with your Squishies and Ipads if you like as well. Whatever you want to play - play it is!!!

  • Calling all creative decorators! Bring your creative side to help design and construct an edible gingerbread house to be entered into the 16th annual PPG Place Gingerbread House display and competition! Students will work together to design their own unique, edible house. All houses will be on display in the PPG Place Wintergarden in downtown Pittsburgh for Light-Up Night on Friday, November 16th through January 1st.

  • Come and shake your tail feather with Mrs. Gillis! Mrs. Gillis will be teaching simple choreographed Zumba routines to current music songs. No dance experience is required as we are here to exercise and have a fun time with friends.

    Class Description: Do you enjoy playing with your 18” doll? Do you enjoy crafts? If so, then this is the class for you. We will be crafting clothes and accessories for our 18” dolls. So, grab your favorite doll, grab a friend, and join this class!

  • Oct. 10, 17, 24, and Nov. 7 (no Oct. 31 class)
    START YOUR ENGINES for the very first PES INDY 500 races.
    Hey PES Drivers - come start your engines and get ready to race for the very first PES INDY 500. You will be able to pick out your own derby car to create and decorate- even make your own parking cones. We will have races inside on the ramp downstairs and outside on the ramp to the playground. An official Derby Race board will be here the last week to show race winners and finishers. Varooommmmmm let’s make our cars fun, loud, and FAST.

    Choice of 4 different derby kits – will be ordered before class begins. (Sports Coupe, Stock Car, SleekSter, and Convertible – your child will pick what to order)

    Class Description: Do you love to be creative with food and eat? Come join us for some fun in the kitchen! We will be making some scrumptious treats to go along with some of our favorite books and crafts!

  • Day: Wednesdays - Oct. 10, 17, 24, and Nov. 7
    Class Description: Girls Club!
    No snakes and snails or puppy-dogs’ tails here! But, if you’re a girl who likes sugar and spice and everything nice, Girls Club is the place for you. We will be having tons of fun each week as we play, laugh, and create our way to a great time. Crafts, games, slime, and manicures too, you just never know what the girls in Girls’ Club girls will decide to do.

  • Wednesday - Oct. 10, 17, 24, and Nov. 7 (no Oct. 31 class)
    Class Description: Class Sponsor: Come to the gym to play some of your favorite Physical Education games and best of all we will KEEP IT MOVING while having fun. Some of the games may include, Sharks and Minnows, Pirate ships, Crossfire, Star Wars, Castle ball, Bingo Bowling, ball games, Tag games and activities chosen by the participants…. Are you ready to keep it moving!

       After school classes are back. There are a lot of new ones this year and some old favorites.

Please Make Note:

Registration will close at 9 PM October 3rd

  • On October 31st there will not be a Wednesday class, instead it will be held on Wednesday, November 7th due to Halloween.     
  • If you have a morning kindergarten child he/she can participate in the classes. A parent or guardian will need to drop off the student in the office at 3:25 and someone will walk the student to his/her after school class.
  • A few classes have included an additional material fee in the cost to purchase supplies for that class.
  • Some classes require previous experience or are grade specific. Your child must meet the requirements.
  • All classes will run 3:30 - 4:30 PM. You will be responsible for picking up your child promptly at the end of the class
  • We will need a separate registration form for EACH child NOT each class. After registering you can pay online via paypal or by check. Make checks payable to "Peebles PTA", include your student's name and invoice number on the memo line and send in an envelope marked After-School classes.
  • Some classes do have a minimum or maximum enrollment.
  • Classes will be filled on a first come - first served basis. If a class gets filled or does not have enough children registered, you will be notified and your payment returned.
